Path trodden: I'm a Microsoft Certified Professional with a masters degree in digital performance. I'm also an accomplished entrepreneur with eight years' industrial experience as a marketing co-ordinator, web designer, musician, composer, trainer and project manager.

Having identified a niche in the market for individuals and small companies seeking to achieve high level media presence without the often prohibitive cost of using several different companies, my expertise in the creative and performing arts led to the creation of my own business Kaleidoscope Digital.

Career mantra: Every problem is an opportunity in disguise

Currently working on: Web design and development, social networking, online advertising, music and video, design and photography, and social media marketing training. And launching my debut album in September.

What I do: Kaleidoscope Digital is a new media company based in Barnsley, South Yorkshire. The company offers a full range of promotional services including web design and development, social networking, online advertising, music and video, design and photography, and social media marketing training.

Specialties:
Web design, social networking, digital marketing, music, video, photography

Working hours: All the hours of the day and night. Web-based work is usually carried out between 9am - 5pm, then music performance every few evenings, and more fiddling with HTML into the wee hours of the night.

Options ahead: Growing my new company in its first year, hoping to secure major contracts and clients and releasing my debut album in September following a year long tour of the UK. www.kaylakavanagh.com
